Shipping Time
Spring shipments of herbaceous peonies begin late March as the ground unthaws (tree peonies only ship in the fall). All orders placed between April 1st and October will be shipped during the fall planting season - plants can not be shipped during this time as they are in their growing phase and are too delicate to be sent through the mail. Fall shipments typically begin the last week in October, exact timing is dependent on the weather conditions for the year and the plants themselves.
In fall and early winter plants are shipped as the orders are received and can be expected a week to ten days after the order is processed. Peony's Envy does have potted plants for sale at the farm in Bernardsville, NJ from May 1 - June 15.
Shipping Information
Peony's Envy ships all plants Priority Mail through the US Postal Service. Tree peonies are typically shipped individually in long tubes, and herbaceous peonies are shipped in boxes of up to six plants. Because of this Peony's Envy charges shipping cost based on price. For every one hundred and forty four dollars in spending there is a $15 shipping charge to account for the number of boxes that will need to be sent. All peonies come beautifully wrapped and individually tagged and bagged, and make beautiful gifts. If you are wanting a gift card included in the box please call for details or write the information in the comments section of your order.
Peony's Envy ships plants to all of the contiguous states and Alaska. Due to the live nature of our plants we can not ship them overseas. Peony's grow well in zones 3-8. We do not recommend planting
peonies outside of these zones as they will not survive. For more information on your horticultural zone visit the National Gardening Associations website.
Tax
Peony's Envy charges state tax to those within our home state of New Jersey. Tax is computed using the shipping zip code.
Guarantee
Peony's Envy guarantees all plants to be in good health and in prime condition for growing at time of delivery. Peony’s Envy can not guarantee plants once they are out of our control, as the influence of planting conditions, weather, and care dominate the plants continued survival. Refund Policy
If you are dissatisfied with the plant contact Peony's Envy within five days of delivery and return the plant for a replacement or refund of the purchase price.
